Maria talks about the roots of her fascination with space, what nobody prepared her for in working life, how a simple addition of ±2π helps it all except for exploring dark matter, which she would dream of contributing to one day.

Meet Lucas Cittá, Small SatCom Product Manager here at ReOrbit, whose 15 year-long career path in the space industry (and counting) takes roots in radio-frequency engineering. Lucas talks about the importance of soft skills, working as a team and never taking knowledge for granted, as well as the reasons why technological limitations will always be an engineer’s best friend.

Deterministic networks provide guaranteed latency on a per-deterministic-flow basis. The data traffic of each flow is delivered within a guaranteed bounded latency and low delay variation constraint. Deterministic networks aim to deliver zero data loss due to congestion for all allocated deterministic flows.

An uncomfortable fact: there is no such thing as a true point-to-point radio link. This means, one ideal transmitting antenna sending radio photons to be exclusively captured by a distant receiving antenna. Cable-like. In reality, there will be scattered photons all around the place.

Observing the world in images needs a value chain in place, and any missing link in that chain will bring the overall value down to practically zero: imaging devices without storage, processing or networking capabilities are of very little use.
